A note from Mr. Cain

The Democrats’ class warfare crap

By: Herman Cain
Monday, October 4, 2010

President Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress believe it is practically immoral to allow people who have made a lot of money to decide how they want to spend it. It is equally immoral for some people to think that they are entitled to other people’s money through the force of the government.

Class warfare has been a winning tactic for Democrats for a long time, but a lot of voters are waking up to the false promise of that old tired song. Some people are realizing that they might be “rich” one day. They are asking the question that, if they work their anchovies off to make some real money, then why should the government take it and redistribute it to those who did not want to take risks and work 24/7 for themselves and their families?

Studies have shown for decades that a majority of people who start out in the lowest economic quintile (20 percent) will advance at least two quintiles higher over time with some of them making it all the way to the top quintile. My dad was one on those achievers.

My dad walked off his father’s small dirt farm with just the clothes on his back to pursue his American dreams. His only equity was sweat equity! At one point in his life he worked three jobs to try to improve his economic situation. He was a barber, janitor and chauffeur all at the same time.

When my dad died at the age of 56 in 1982, his net worth was $982,000. He started with nothing! We used the capital gains on his estate to take care of my mom who had multiple sclerosis until she died 24 years later. After mom passed, I wrote an estate tax payment to the government for $1.3 million dollars, since we had invested wisely and Dad’s estate had grown in value.

So that’s one reason I am sick and tired of people whining about what the rich ought to pay! The Declaration of Independence says “the pursuit of happiness”. It does not say anything about a guarantee or a Department of Happy.

I am also sick of the lie press secretary Robert Gibbs and other Democrats are claiming that by not taxing those families making over $250,000 a year, we will add $700 billion to the deficit. It’s a lie because it is based on static analysis, which is the method bureaucrats use when they are trying to dupe the taxpayers into another tax increase. Show me the analysis!

And another thing! For the president to tell people at one of his staged backyard town hall meetings that he needed to raise taxes on those families to help reduce the deficit and the national debt is simply disingenuous. The American people have been screaming for over a year for the government to stop the spending! But he and his Democrats in Congress have been deaf to the public.

The president and the Democrats have no positive accomplishments to boast about leading up to the 2010 congressional elections. So they play the race card, the class warfare card and politics of personal attacks.

Most people who are able to generate a modest amount of wealth usually donate a large portion of their wealth to charitable and community-based organizations. That’s where it does the most good because it is closest to where the need is based. Going through the mechanism of government redistribution is inefficient and unfair.

Two thirds of those “evil rich” people making over $250,000 a year are small businesses that employ nearly two-thirds of the workers in America. A caller reminded me last week that if those businesses have to pay more in taxes, some of their workers might lose their jobs.

Abraham Lincoln said, “You don’t help the poor by hurting the rich.” This administration is determined to hurt the rich and make more people poor.

He's not my president.

The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning "Meet The Press'.  The author (Dale Lindsborg) is employed by none other than the very liberal Washington Post!!

From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008  11:48:04 EST,  Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

NOW GET THIS !! - - - - -

'Senator' Obama replied:

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American
flag is a symbol of oppression.." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

(ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'.  If that were our anthem, then, I might salute
it.  In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem
as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love.
It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America  to the level of acceptance
to our  Middle East  Brethren.  If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a
state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ."

When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".
"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path.. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family.  Indeed,CHANGE is about to overwhelm the  United States of America "

It's been a while

I realize that it has been quite some time since I have updated this blog. It has been a very busy month for me. Exciting, but busy. So as everybody is aware, the Gulf Oil Spill is the current hot topic. I'm tired of everybody talking about it. Blah blah blah. Lets stop pointing fingers and figure this crap out and do something to fix it. How bout our federal gov't waits until the problem is fixed before they start filing law suits. BP does not expect to get out if this scott free. However, now is not the time for the feds to start a bunch of civil court crap. With that being said, I had two very awesome experiences this month. A few weeks ago, I traveled to Sea Island, Ga for a wedding. As most know, this is where President Bush held the G8 Summit in 2004. While there, I was able to see the room and the table where the summit took place. I also got to sit in President Bush's chair. It was a once in a life time opportunity. The second thing happened today. I flew an airplane. I took a flight with a friend who is a flight instructor. Once in the air, he handed the controls over to me for about an hour. Next time I fly an airline, I will have a new appreciation for the pilots. There are a lot of things going on in the cockpit. These guys must have serious muti-tasking skills.

I'll put is simple - Robert Gibbs is a raging idiot.

Robert Gibbs - your job is very simple. You answer pre-screened questions on behalf of the President. Of course, any President does not have time everyday to address the press. Or in the case of Barrack Obama, hasn't had the guts to take questions from the press for almost a year now. Anyways, Robert Gibbs's job is to address the media and answer their questions. His job is to be informed. However, he is far from informed. Not even close. He is a studdering, ignorant fool. I can't believe that Gibbs has the nerve to sit their and accuse somebody of not being informed. My intentions are not to defend Sara Palin, but to simply point out that the Obama admin., wants to call people names and make laws and go on and on with nonsence, but not apply any of it to themselves. Moving to Mexico at this point is sounding more and more appealing every day. Obama, your staff is as worthless as your are sir. You socialist piece of garbage.

The following is a press release:

Palin should get informed, cracks Gibbs
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs ripped former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Sunday in an interview with host Bob Schieffer on CBS's "Face the Nation."

Asked about Palin's comments that the Obama administration is too cozy with oil companies because of their campaign contributions to him, Gibbs said, "Sarah Palin was involved in that election but apparently wasn't paying a whole lot of attention."

"My suggestion to Sarah Palin would be to get slightly more informed," Gibbs said.

In the interview, Gibbs also declined to answer whether anyone at the White House had offered Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak a job in the administration if he would stay out of the Democratic Senate primary against incumbent Arlen Specter. who lost to Sestak last week.

"Lawyers in the White House and others have looked into conversations that were had with Congressman Sestak," Gibbs said. "Nothing inappropriate happened."

Gibbs also pushed back against the notion that the BP oil spill is the Obama administration's version of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

"The difference in this case was we were there immediately, and we have been there ever since," Gibbs said. And he asserted that he resented suggestions in the media that the U.S. Government hasn't done anything to respond to the crisis. "I don't think anybody could credibly say .... that the government has stood around and hoped for the best," Gibbs said.

My 2012 nomination.

Conservative talk-radio host Herman Cain is considering a presidential bid, and he's getting encouragement from Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher.

Cain, who broadcasts from Atlanta and placed second to then-Rep. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) in a 2004 Georgia GOP primary, said he's looking at running in 2012 as a Republican or an independent.

Cain told The Hill he would run because he "totally disagrees with the Obama-Reid-Pelosi agenda."

"They basically have redefined what it means to tax and spend," Cain said. "Just look up the run-up in the national debt."

Wurzelbacher, who earned attention for debating then-Sen. Barack Obama on the 2008 presidential campaign trail, told Talking Points Memo that he'd support a Cain campaign. Wurzelbacher, elected this week to become a local Republican committee official in Ohio, called Cain "a smart man who I think would do a great job."

Cain said he and Wurzelbacher often talk. Wurzelbacher sees him as a "big brother" and Cain sees Wurzelbacher as a "little brother, Cain said.

Cain, the former chairman and CEO of the Godfather's Pizza chain of Italian restaurants, said he's giving a run for president "prayerful consideration," which he said is a reference to his strong faith.

In the 2004 Senate primary, Cain ran as a conservative who opposed abortion in all cases. He placed second out of three major candidates, winning 26 percent, but he was unable to keep Isakson from getting the 50 percent needed to avoid a runoff.

On his radio show's website, Cain, who is black, supports a restructuring of Social Security with private retirement accounts and the replacement of the federal income tax with a national sales tax.

The Free House

This is a story that a friend of mine passed on to me.

The Free House

I was in my neighborhood restaurant this morning and was seated behind a group of jubilant individuals celebrating the successful passing of the recent health care bill. I could not finish my breakfast. This is what ensued:

They were a diverse group of several races and both sexes. I heard the young man exclaim, “Isn't Obama like Jesus Christ? I mean, after all, he is healing the sick.” The young woman enthusiastically proclaimed,

“Yeah, and he does it for free. I cannot believe anyone would think that a free market would work for health care. They are all crooks and thieves and don't deserve all of that money.”

Another said, ‘The stupid Republicans want us all to starve to death so they can inherit all of the power. Obama should be made a Saint for what he did for those of us less fortunate.” At this, I had enough.

I arose from my seat, mustering all the restraint I could find, and approached their table. “Please excuse me; may I impose upon you for one moment?” They smiled and welcomed me to the conversation. I stood at the end of their table, smiled as best I could and began an experiment.

“I would like to give one of you my house. It will cost you no money and I will pay all of the expenses and taxes for as long as you live there. Anyone interested?” They looked at each other in astonishment.

“Why would you do something like that?” asked a young man, “There isn't anything for free in this world.”

They began to laugh at me, as they did not realize this man had just made my point. “I am serious, I will give you my house for free, no money what so ever. Anyone interested?” In unison, a resounding “Hell Yeah” fills the room.

“Since there are too many of you, I will have to make a choice as to who receives this money free bargain.” I noticed an elderly couple was paying attention to the spectacle unfolding before their eyes, the old man shaking his head in apparent disgust.

“I tell you what; I will give it to the one of you most willing to obey my rules.” Again, they looked at one another, an expression of bewilderment on their faces.

The perky young woman asked, “What are the rules?”

I smiled and said, “I don't know. I have not yet defined them. However, it is a free home that I offer you.” They giggled amongst themselves, the youngest of which said, “What an old coot. He must be crazy to give away his home. Go take your meds, old man.” I smiled and leaned into the table a bit further. “I am serious, this is a legitimate offer.” They gaped at me for a moment.

“Hell, I'll take it you old fool. Where are the keys?” boasted the youngest among them.

“Then I presume you accept ALL of my terms then?” I asked. The elderly couple seemed amused and entertained as they watched from the privacy of their table. “Oh hell yeah! Where do I sign up?”

I took a napkin and wrote, “I give this man my home, without the burden of financial obligation, so long as he accepts and abides by the terms that I shall set forth upon consummation of this transaction.” I signed it and handed it to the young man who eagerly scratched out his signature.

“Where are the keys to my new house?” he asked in a mocking tone of voice. All eyes were upon us as I stepped back from the table, pulling the keys from pocket and dangling them before the excited new homeowner.

“Now that we have entered into this binding contract, witnessed by all of your friends, I have decided upon the conditions you are obligated to adhere from this point forward.

You may only live in the house for one hour a day.

You will not use anything inside of the home.

You will obey me without question or resistance.

I expect complete loyalty and admiration for this gift I bestow upon you.

You will accept my commands and wishes with enthusiasm, no matter the nature.

Your morals and principles shall be as mine.

You will vote as I do, think as I do and do it with blind faith.

These are my terms. Here are your keys.” I reached the keys forward and the young man looked at me dumbfounded.

“Are you out of your freaking mind? Who would ever agree to those ridiculous terms?” the young man appeared irritated.

“You did when you signed this contract before reading it, understanding it and with the full knowledge that I would provide my conditions only after you committed to the agreement” was all I said.

The elderly man chuckled as his wife tried to restrain him. I was looking at a now silenced and bewildered group of people.

“You can shove that stupid deal up you're a** old man, I want no part of it” exclaimed the now infuriated young man.

“You have committed to the contract, as witnessed by all of your friends; you cannot get out of the deal unless I agree to it. I do not intend to let you free now that I have you ensnared. I am the power you agreed to. I am the one you blindly, and without thought, chose to enslave yourself to. In short, I am your Master.” At this, the table of celebrating individuals became a unified group against the unfairness of the deal.

After a few moments of unrepeatable comments and slurs, I revealed my true intent. “What I did to you is what this administration and congress did to you with the health care legislation. I easily suckered you in and then revealed the real cost of the bargain. Your folly was in the belief that you can have something you did not earn; that you are entitled to that which you did not earn; that you willingly allowed someone else to think for you. Your failure to research, study and inform yourself permitted reason to escape you. You have entered into a trap from which you cannot flee. Your only chance of freedom is if your new Master gives it unto you. A freedom that is given can also be taken away; therefore, it is not freedom.”

With that, I tore up the napkin and placed it before the astonished young man. “This is the nature of your new health care legislation.”

I turned away to leave these few in thought and contemplation and was surprised by applause. The elderly gentleman, who was clearly entertained, shook my hand enthusiastically and said, “Thank you Sir, these kids don't understand Liberty these days.” He refused to allow me to pay my bill as he said, “You earned this one, it is an honor to pickup the tab.” I shook his hand in thanks, leaving the restaurant somewhat humbled, and sensing a glimmer of hope for my beloved country.

Don't forget to vote in August and November, help remove the liberals from congress !!!!!!!

Healthcare update

As anybody with a TV, radio, or computer knows; healthcare has been and still is an ongoing debate in our country. Now I'm not going to launch into a spew about how wrong Obamacare is because if you are reading this and you support Obamacare, well you are either an uniformed voter or part of the 53 percent of American's who do not pay taxes, and are just waiting for another handout from the government funded by the rest of us who actually pay taxes. I would like to share my latest healthcare. experience. Recently I obtained an ulser in my mouth due to an injury involving my toothbrush (got in a rush brushing my teeth one morning) After about 4 days of peroxide and orabase, I had no results. I was in pain and the ulser was not going away. At 8:15 on a Monday morning I called my extremely busy dental clinic with no appointment. I received no special treatment. By 9:00 am i was in the dentist chair. By 9:30 am I was out, ulser free and on my way. This all due to the efficient PRIVATE SECTOR healthcare that is currently under attack by the liberals and socialists that are currently in power in OUR federal government. Anybody who thinks that I would receive the same urgency and care under Obamacare is high off their ass. I have heard well you received that care because you have heath insurance. You are damn right I did. That is because healthcare is not a right. I would never expect to walk into a doctor's office, hospital, or heath care provider; receive treatment; and walk out expecting someone else to pay for it. There is no doubt that the insurance industry needs to make changes. Changes such as creating competition causing them to lower prices and premiums. A government takeover is not the answer. Forcing insurance companies to provide services to people no matter what their pre-existing condition is not the answer. Insurance companies ARE a BUSINESS. They are NOT a non-profit organization. If the gov't forces them to provide coverage to anybody and everybody will cause them to go out of business. Of course, this is what Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid ect... want to happen. When this happens, we will have no choice but to buy our insurance and healthcare from the federal government. This means BIG GOVERNMENT AND THIS IS WHAT OBAMA AND THE LIBERALS WANT. How dare they tell people how to run their business. NONE of these three people have EVER owned a small business. So someone please tell me what the hell qualifies them to tell Americans what to do when is comes to making decisions in their business, such as providing their employees with health insurance. Once again I am truly concerned about the direction this administration is taking this country. They are running it straight in the ground. I have yet to meet a liberal that can provide a valid argument using facts and REAL statistics. It seems every time they are proven wrong on a theory or idea, they just change the name of it to either cover up their mistake or not offend somebody. Global warming is a great example. When a group of scientists came forward and admitted the data was false, what did the liberals do? They changed the name of it to climate change. It is a hoax and a lie. It is a scam for people like Al Gore to make his fortune off of by taking advantage of gullible tree huggers and hippies. OPEN YOUR EYES AMERICAN BEFORE THE LIBERALS PULL THE WOOL OVER THEM.
